StratEvade 2 (A Sequel to StratEvade — More Features, More Strategy, More Thrills) is an advanced turn-based strategy escape and evasion game that builds upon the foundations of its predecessor. The primary objective of the game remains the same: the PLAYER must navigate across a vast, intricately designed GRID, seeking out the EXIT while being relentlessly pursued by a continuously growing number of spawned KILLERS. These KILLERS become increasingly challenging as the game progresses, demanding both strategic planning and quick reflexes from the PLAYER. To aid in their escape, the PLAYER has the ability to set up BARRIERS and deploy MINES, strategic elements that can block and destroy the pursuing KILLERS, respectively. This not only buys the PLAYER time but also allows them to create traps and diversify their escape routes. However, the challenge is compounded by the presence of BLOCKERS, which are spawned every turn, further impeding the PLAYER's progress and forcing them to adapt their strategies on the fly. Fortunately, the PLAYER can overcome these BLOCKERS by utilizing POWER-UPS scattered throughout the GRID. These POWER-UPS grant temporary boosts or special abilities, such as breaking through BLOCKERS or temporarily disabling KILLERS, giving the PLAYER the edge needed to stay ahead. Controls in StratEvade 2 are intuitive and versatile, supporting a range of input methods including keyboard arrows, mouse clicks, and touch controls for mobile devices. Additionally, the game features customizable shortcut keys (1..3) for quick access to frequently used actions, as well as dedicated buttons for placing BARRIERS (b), MINES (m), and activating POWER-UPS (p). Strategy and swift execution are key to survival, as the PLAYER must manage their resources wisely and anticipate the movements of both KILLERS and BLOCKERS to reach the EXIT and escape successfully. The variable 's' could represent saved states or settings, while 'x' might signify an action to cancel or destroy certain obstacles.
